The bio of the founder of JO Group Giuseppe Ursino

I hold a degree in Economics and completed three post-graduate courses. After a brief professional experience, I embarked on a long entrepreneurial journey as a CEO and an innovator. I’m based in my hometown of Catania, although my activities span all over Europe.
In 1998, driven by my passion for technology, I founded the JO Group, a cluster of companies focused on digital transformation and EU projects.
During my adolescence, I split my time between books and sports, primarily football and basketball. I broke bones in my forearm, fingers, collarbone and spine and from these experiences I understood that one of my attitudes is the ability to get back up immediately after every “break”.
Over the years, I travelled the world by plane, car, boat, train, and even hitchhiking. I explored America, Africa and Asia and crisscrossed Europe for both work and pleasure. I consider travelling the best way to spend my money because exposure to different cultures fosters new insights and perspectives.
I represented collective interests in high school, at university, and within Chamber of Commerce of Catania. I was also involved in an employers association for a long time and, before eventually choosing to become an entrepreneur, I helped break an archaic power system when I served as a board member of the Order of Chartered Accountants.
Early on, I printed a social magazine in my parish, then launched as editorial director a civic engagement magazine at my university, and later I was editorial director of a magazine dealing with economic topics while studying and working in Rome. Today, I write on this blog every now and then. In short, I have always promoted communication as a catalyst for a better world, believing it to be a strategic lever capable of changing people’s minds and thus the world.
With JO Group I helped hundreds of companies innovate and grow and, with nearly 30 years of focus on digital transformation, I acquired significant expertise in applying digital technologies across various fields:

I have always been an advocate for meritocracy and European integration and I believe in the value of the human touch even in business relationships.
